First Birthday

On Kepler's actual birthday we were in London visiting the Hills. It was a pretty low-key day, but of course we had more cake!

It was fun getting to celebrate Kepler's birthday with both sides of the family and ALL of his cousins!

One year

Kepler, you turn 1 today at 11:27 am.

You have a very fun, laid back, sweet personality.

You crawl all over and like to be where the action is.

You will play on your own unless Jayna is around, then you just want to play with her.

You had your first and second haircut last week.

You can say: dada, mama, tickle tickle, bye and yes (at least it sounds like yes).

You love to wave and clap.

You like to shake your head "no" when you're not supposed to do something, but think it's so funny.

You are starting to be more of a mama's boy!

You love to eat, and food is one of the only things you get mad about.

You love music and your favourite song is "You are my sunshine".

You are such an important part of our family, I can't imagine not having you around.

Kepler's Birthday Party!

We had a birthday party for Kepler with Gibb's family a few days early since we were in Ontario on his actual birthday. We decided to just have cake and ice cream over at Gibb's parents house. Somehow about a week before I thought it would be cute to make him a fire truck cake. Well the cake definitely turned out really cute, after only 5 hours of hard work from Gibb and I the night before. Too bad he had no idea what it was, at least Jayna appreciated it!

First Haircut

Kepler finally got his first haircut. It's been way overdue, he's had a mullet for a couple months now, but I just wasn't ready to let go of his baby hair yet. I think the girl at Beaners did a really good job, she did exactly what I asked for, and Kepler was really good. But as soon as we started driving home I wished I had waited a couple more weeks to get it done, so I could enjoy him looking like a baby for a little bit longer (sniff).

Okay, okay, I can take a hint....I know I haven't posted in forever. So here is another very random update for all my "faithful followers". I totally need to update our blog and do some posts for last month. But in the meantime here are some more of the latest pics of our munchkins:

Jayna has an imaginary friend named "little girl", she has only been around 3 or 4 times, but whenever she is this is how Jayna holds her, she must be very little

More snow May 18 (I won't complain since for the past week we have had gorgeous HOT weather and we are loving it!!)

Some things that we are looking forward to this summer:

• Jayna, Kepler and I taking a trip to London to visit the Hills and my mom (1 more week, WOO HOO, I can't wait, bring on the chaos!)
• Kepler turning 1 in 10 days (and hopefully being weaned soon after)
• A week at the cabin in Montana in August, and a week at my Grandparents in Southern Alberta after that
