We had such a great day for Kepler's blessing. We had everyone in Gibb's whole family there for it, including his Grandma, and my mom was there. The fact that Kepler had a HUGE blowout in his blessing outfit right before (we have Sacrament meeting last) just made it a little more exciting! Of course we did a little photoshoot of Kepler in his adorable outfit and got some pretty good family pictures. It was a really special day!

Cute hair!
Jayna's hair has been getting so long! I could do an actual ponytail in it!
But it was starting to look a little bit too much like a mullet again so I thought it was time for another hair cut. I wasn't too excited about it since Jayna hates getting her hair done and has a really sensitive head. But we went to this great place for kids that has movies playing and fun chairs for them to sit in and the lady was so fast, Jayna didn't even cry! She even let her blow dry her hair and put a braid it in, so cute! Jayna picked out the beads herself and got sparkles in her hair at the end. We were trying to make it a really positive experience for her so we kept telling her that her hair looked so cute and that she looked pretty. After that she was so proud of her new hair and was showing off her braid to everyone and saying "Cute!". It ended up being such a fun little outing, I can't wait for her next haircut now!

Miss Independent
Jayna is becoming so independent, or wishes she was anyways. Today when we got home she climbed out of her carseat and sat on the empty seat next to it and closed the door. She was just sitting there for at least 10 minutes, not really doing anything, but having so much fun. She was pretending to put on the seat belt and she thought she was so big.

Bubbles!
Since Jayna's been in nursery she asks for bubbles all the time, what kid doesn't love bubbles? I had to post these pictures because this is just so our summer right now. We haven't gone and done tons of fun stuff with Jayna since Kepler was born, but we are loving are backyard and Jayna is loving hanging out with Daddy and Grandma lots!

I *heart* babies!
These pictures show some of my favourite things about new babies.
I love a baby fresh out of the bath, they smell so good and I love bundling them to warm them up after.
I love how they can fall asleep anywhere, anytime and sometimes in the most random positions.
I have the best intentions of getting so many things done when Jayna and Kepler are both sleeping. But then when Kepler falls asleep after I feed him I can't bear to put him down because he looks sooo cute and I know that soon enough he'll be too big to fall asleep and just let me hold him.
Sorry for the cheesy post and any more that will probably follow in the next few days and weeks. I think I'm still post baby hormonal and emotional.

Kepler and the dog
This is something that I never did with Jayna and wish I had. I think it's so cute when people take pictures of their baby with something to show how much they're growing. So here is Kepler at 8 days old with his blue dog.
Gibb thought it would be way cuter if the dog was hugging him, so I had to add these in too, poor little guy.

1 week down...
Wow, this week went by way too fast, and it's already July! I'm already feeling like I want time to slow down so Kepler doesn't grow up too fast. I love the newborn phase, and it's so short. I love how snuggly Kepler is right now and how small he still looks. I love his dark eyes and that he's starting to be awake more. I know I'm going to miss this in a few months!
I think family photos will only go downhill from here

Canada Day
Our Canada Day this year was pretty laid back and relaxing. It was really hot that day so we let Jayna play out in the backyard in the water for a while, then we had a BBQ with the best corn on the cob! We didn't realize how much we missed good corn on the cob. We decided to not do fireworks since it doesn't get dark here until 10:30 or 11 in the summer, it was just too late for us this year, maybe next time.
