Hello?

I know it's shocking that I am actually posting on our blog again. We are still here...well kind of. We're not here as in, Edmonton, anymore. We've moved up north. That's right I said up north. I didn't think there was any civilization north of Edmonton either, but there is, and we moved here, to Fort McMurray.

Which is part of the reason why I haven't blogged in forever. Busy packing, moving, unpacking, etc. But then you just get so behind and you don't know where to begin. I wanted to get all caught up, but then after a while it's just too overwhelming, and so you just don't end up doing it. So finally tonight I just decided to post about today. And hopefully, eventually, I will get caught up. Because there are lots of things I want to write about, like our whole summer, and moving and Jayna's birthday, and Kepler walking, etc.

So here are some pictures from today:

Dress ups and dancing!

Kepler's new obsession...shoes! He wanted to wear Jayna's princess shoes, but couldn't walk in the heels, so we settled on these.

Kepler only has warm pj's that are a size too big right now, so it's either buy him new warm pj's that will fit him for a couple months, actually get him dressed first thing in the morning, or this...tie the legs in a knot behind him. (This was Gibb's genius idea, I wish I could take credit for it)

Jayna learned how to make "funny faces", Gibb and I aren't sure where she learned this. This girl thrives on trying to be funny. If I laugh at something she does there is no stopping her.

Well I am off to pack. Tomorrow I'm flying to Toronto with 3 friends to go the So You Think You Can Dance Canada Finale!!! We are getting so spoiled, the associate producer, our new buddy Josh, hooked us us with a discount at the Fairmont, VIP lounge, meet and greet with the judges, and front row tickets! To say that we're SO excited is such an understatement, weeeeee!!!!

Potty Princess

After 7 months Jayna finally went poop on the potty!! She has been too scared to do this since we potty trained her earlier this year. We tried everything to get her to do it. We even took her to Toys R Us and told her she could pick out anything in the store if she would go and she just calmly walked right out the door and said "No thanks, maybe next time." Seriously, who is this kid?! So we just had to sit back and wait and in true Jayna style as soon as it was her idea to do it she never looked back. I need to remember this about her personality for her teenage years. ;)

We've had this princess toy on our shelf for months waiting for Jayna to go poop on the potty to get to play with it. And it did not disappoint!!

Serious Business

Kepler does not mess around with dinner. He was determined to get every last bite of his spaghetti!

Aunt Mona

It was so awesome having Mona here for a visit. She's so fun and loves the kids and is so helpful with house stuff too.

This was hilarious! We were teaching Jayna how to use scissors and she couldn't stop opening and closing her mouth every time she cut. Too cute! Now let's just hope her new love of cutting just stays with paper.

Mona bought the kids the cutest books and read them to them over and over.

My Birthday

I turned 29 this year. My last year of being young! I don't know how I feel about this. It was a great day though. Mona was here which was so fun. And Gibb got me an awesome gift, a new Blendtech!

I think Jayna and Kepler look so similar here!

Just took my smoothies to a whole new level!

Mona watched the kids for us so we could go out for dinner. It was a good day.

Thanksgiving

We went down to Edmonton for Thanksgiving. It was perfect timing to see new baby Milo! Mona flew in to Edmonton while we were there and is coming back for a visit and to get some dental work done. So perfect!

Baby snuggles are the best!

Grandma Time

Jayna and Kepler love my mom! They had a great time with her while we were in Vegas, it's so nice to not have to worry about our kids at all when we leave them. She even took them to the library and met some new friends for me, perfect!!

The kids love the Bachyardigans we brought them home from our trip!
