Olympics

I think this blog post could be about any and every family in Canada with a TV or computer. I am SO proud to be a Canadian right now. And it's not that I'm not usually proud, I'm just feeling extra proud. There's something about having the Olympics in your own country and then having the athletes from your country do amazing that is really special. I have been proud of everything from the Opening Ceremenoies to the Closing (yes I was proud of the opening ceremonies!). There is something about having our 3 year waving her Canada little paper flag around the house and excitedly spotting every Canada Flag while we are out driving. And pretending her necklace is a gold medal, and saying that she will be a really fast skater when she is a really big girl, and listening to our national anthem being played with the mounties standing by. And there is something about our little 1 year cheering whenever the crowd cheers and yelling "Yeah Canada!" at the TV. And also learning that cheering makes people feel good, he likes to cheer "Go Mommy, Go Mommy!" when I pull out of our driveway, I hope that doesn't stop anytime soon. It's really inspiring, and seeing these amzing athelets fulfill their dreams really makes me want to have even bigger dreams. I just can't get enough of it, I'm sad it's all over, but it was so great while it lasted. GO CANADA GO!!!
