That's cold!!

Happy Canada Day!

July 1 was pretty low key for us this year since Jayna, Kepler and I just got home from Ontario the night before. We had dinner with Brett and Jenny and then last minute I decided to take Jayna to see the fireworks. I had to wake her up to go, since they didn't start until 11 pm. (more proof that we live in the North Pole, it doesn't get dark in the summer until 11)

I thought she was going to love them and be so excited, I should have known better.

At first she was just startled by the loud noise, and I thought she would get used to it after a couple minutes. But she just kept getting more and more scared.

She kept saying "I'm scared, I don't like fireworks!" "I want to go home now." or "I want to go back to bed!" and "I don't like this, can we go home?"

Poor girl, once the tears started I knew she was not going to get used to them, at least not this year.

So we just packed up and headed home. Oh well, at least we beat all the traffic getting out of there!

Visit to Ontario

 I took Jayna and Kepler to Ontario to visit for a week. We had a busy week and packed in a lot of fun. The first day we were there we took the kids to the Children's Museum in London. 

One afternoon while Kepler and Clara were napping I took Jayna and Nathan to the playground at Westmount School. They were so cute together!

I went to go visit Janeth and her kids in Waterloo one day. Kepler and Luke are only one day apart!

Aleccia had us all out to her farm for a BBQ one day. It was so much fun! And so beautiful out there.

One of the highlights (and reasons) for our trip was Kepler meeting my Dad for the first time.

We had such a great trip. It was especially fun this time to see all the cousins starting to play together. Can't wait to see them again in the summer!
